Day 1: Arrival to Madeira International Airport
On arrival at Madeira Airport, you will be welcomed by a driver who will take you to your accommodation in Funchal. After settling in, take the opportunity to explore the vibrant city center at you own pace. Funchal offers a variety of shops, restaurants, cafes and bars to suit all tastes, all within an easy walk.
Day 2: Tour of the West Side of the Island– Porto Moniz
At 9h00 after breakfast you will be picked up at the hotel by your guide and will join a guided sightseeing tour of the west side of the Island. This will give you a great overview of the most significant sites of the west side of the Island. We will start by the fishing village Câmara de Lobos, known for the fishing of the scabbard fish and also the main producer of bananas on the island. We will see Cabo Girão, one of the highest sea cliffs in the world at an altitude of 580 m (1900 ft) with a breathtaking view, and Ribeira Brava (wild stream), a small typical seaside town on the southwest coast of the island. After, we will make a stop at Rabaçal, where we can enjoy a great view of the mountains. The last stop before lunch will be at the Santa of Porto Moniz, where we’ll get to see the beautiful scenery of the north coast. Lunch at Porto Moniz, known for its famous natural swimming pools. After lunch departure to in Seixal, where we can see the amazing Véu da Noiva waterfall. Our next stop will be at the beautiful village of São Vicente. We drive up in the mountains and in Encumeada we will enjoy an incredible view of the north and south of the island. The last stop will be at Serra de Água where you have the opportunity to taste the Poncha, a typical island drink.

Day 3: Panoramic Views and Toboggan Trip
We begin our day with a visit to the typical and colourful Market Place, Mercado dos Lavradores, one of the highlights of Funchal. Followed by a walk through the narrow cobblestone street of Santa Maria, in the Old Town. Next we will take the Cable Car from Funchal to the charming village of Monte. As you rise above the city, you’ll get dramatic views of the city. We will visit to the beautiful Church of Nossa Senhora do Monte and the magnificent Monte Palace Tropical Garden. Our visit to Monte can be finished with a rush of adrenaline by taking the famous toboggan trip. We also will visit to the famous Blandy’s Wine Lodge. Later in the evening we will head to the charming seaside village of Câmara de Lobos to have a delicious dinner. After dinner transfer back to the Hotel in Funchal.

Day 4: The Magic Nun’s Valley and Botanical Garden
We start the day by driving in the mountainous interior to Eira do Serrado. Located at an elevation of 1,095 m, it offers a stunning panoramic view over the parish of Curral das Freiras and the majestic mountains of the central massif that surround it. After visiting the picturesque village of Curral das Freiras we go to the fantastic natural world of the Botanical Garden. The Botanical Gardens, with an area of over 35,000 m2, has more than 2,000 exotic plants from all continents some of which are endangered species. This fantastic garden has several ornamental trees and shrubs, an orchid area, lawns, viewpoints and an amphitheatre for recreational activities. The Madeira Botanical Garden has more than 2,000 exotic plants from all over the world. Given the increasing loss of biodiversity and habitats worldwide, this garden has become a centre for science and culture, with the goal to preserve endangered plants where they will be as well adapted as in their original environment.

Day 5: Tour of the East Side of the Island - Santana
This is the day to explore the east side of the island on a guided sightseeing tour. Our first stop will be Camacha famous for being the wickerwork center, where you can buy a wide variety of local products and traditional crafts. This day tour includes a trip to Pico do Areeiro – the 3rd highest mountain of the island at an altitude of 1818 m (5964 ft) where a stunning view and the beauty of the surrounding landscape can be enjoyed. Pico is also the starting point of the 7km path that connects to Pico Ruivo, the highest mountain in the island. Then we will start to descend to the north cost of the island, to the beautiful Ribeiro Frio National Park, here we will visit a trout hatchery. The journey continues to Faial and Santana. In Santana, we can see the typical and enchanting colourful cottages with pointed thatched roofs. After lunch departure to Porto da Cruz where you can admire the impressive rock formations of the Eagle's Cliff and experience one of the main pieces of living evidence of the island’s glorious sugar production by visiting the historic Companhia dos Engenhos do Norte (Northern Milling Company), it is dedicated exclusively to the production of sugar cane rum according to the original process. On the way back to Funchal we reach the historical village of Machico in the east side of the island, where the discoverers first disembarked in 1420. Afterwards we will begin driving along the south coast of the island back to the capital.

Day 6: Capital of Madeira - Funchal 
This is your day to explore the heart of the capital city however you wish. Downtown Funchal offers a wide range of attractions, including a variety of monuments and museums to suit all tastes, like Santa Clara Convent, São Lourenço Palace, Funchal Town Hall, Saint James Fort, Baltazar Dias Municipal Theatre, Funchal's Jesuits College, Quinta das Cruzes Museum, Religious Art Museum, CR7 Museum, Frederico de Freitas House Museum, Madeira Military Museum, Toy Museum. There are also plenty of optional activities to choose from for more experience with madeiran culture, wildlife and nature.

Day 7: Palheiro Gardens and Catamaran Trip
Begin the day with a visit to the lovely gardens at "Quinta do Palheiro", which are famous not only for the beauty and variety of plants that grow there but for its scenic location in the hills to the east of Funchal, the capital of Madeira. This property belonging to the Blandy family, has some of the most valuable and rare exotic plants. In the afternoon we will do a boat trip with a catamaran along the west coast. The catamaran has bar service and a sound system. Besides swimming and snorkelling in the summer, during the tour you will probably see dolphins, whales and turtles in their natural habitats.

Day 8: Departure
Transfer by bus to Madeira Airport in time for your departure. If your flight is in the afternoon, you can spend the morning exploring more of Funchal or taking part in an optional activity.
